An English teacher in Brazil for 20 years and Portuguese teacher in the United States for 10 years at Arizona State University and Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, Anamaria is co-author of the book Canta Brasil. She was awarded Outstanding Professor of the Year for two consecutive years (1997/1998) at Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of Int`l Management. A specialist in Education, Vera Lucia was a teacher for the State of Rio de Janeiro. She has held positions as Education Advisor for the State of Rio de Janeiro, Chairperson of the State Department of Education, Chairperson of the State Department of Culture, and Chairperson of the Criminal Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro. She currently promotes cultural events.
